In vivo 3D high-resolution EEG, LFP and cellular recordings.

Multi-sites, 3D high-resolution recordings of cellular and local field potential (LFP) in brain networks is a versatile and powerful approach to investigate spatio-temporal dynamics of cell-to-network oscillations and synchronizations. We use this approach to identify and to characterize pathophysiological electro-markers in models of consciousness disorders, to understand the function and dysfunction of complex neural systems, and to develop neural simulators of neurological and psychiatric diseases.
The video shows a typical example of multi-sites recordings made with a tailor-made 3D tetrode. From top to bottom: hippocampal LFP, thalamic motor, sensory and associative LFP-multiunit records, and frontoparietal EEG.
